FAQ 20 Channel MP3 Sound Board with 2x15W Amplifier (FN-BC20)

Q1: How do I adjust the volume of the board?

A1:  All you need is a small  small screwdriver. You can adjust the volume on board separately for the left channel and for the right channel. After changing the volume, a power cycle (on-off-on) is required for the change to take effect.

(Note on version 1.1 of the board the volume control is anti-clockwise for volume up.  opposite of the usual convention)

Q2: I changed the trigger mode via DIP switches, but new trigger mode did not take effect (Version1 of the board)

A2:  All changes must have a power cycle to take effect. (on-off-on). The factory default triggering mode is ‚Äúpulse interruptible". After you shift to another triggering mode, you need to power cycle the board on-off-on, then the new settings will be executed.
(Version 1.1 of the board use a read.cfg file to change the trigger modes)

Q3: What bit rate must the MP3 file be?

A3:  The module supports bit rates of 32 Kbps, 64 Kbps, 96 Kbps, 128 Kbps, 256 Kbps and 320Kbps for MP3 files. Other bit rates for MP3 files could cause problems with playback.

Q4: What sampling rate must the .WAV file be?

A4:  The module supports sampling rates of 8 / 11.025 / 12 / 16 / 22.05 / 24 / 32 / 44.1 or 48 KHz for .WAV files. Other sample rates for .WAV files could cause problems with playback.

Q5: I used an Apple Mac to copy the sound files to the MicroSD card or onboard flash memory. Now not all of the buttons play a sound when activated

A5:   We found that some versions of the MacBook hide some of the files when they are copied to the microSD card or onboard flash memory. Solution is to reformat the microSD card or onboard flash memory, using a Windows computer and then copy the sound files to the microSD card or onboard flash memory using a Windows computer.
